History

1974 : Pharmaland Limited Partnership started operations with the launching of upcountry and Bangkok sales teams.

1982 : Growing relationships with international partners necessitated the Pharmaland changing its structure to that of a limited company, and its name to Pharmaland (1982) Co., Ltd.

1986 : The company divided its sales force into two divisions; Team A was responsible for domestic products and Team B was responsible for overseas products.

1992 : Pharmaland increased its sales forces with the new overseas Team C, composed of nine members.

1993 : The business diversified into drugstore channels with four dedicated sales representatives in the Bangkok area.

1995 : The sales teams were divided into four divisions, A, B, C, and D, with each division sub-divided into Bangkok and upcountry teams. This was accompanied by an increase in the Bangkok sales force by four members and the upcountry team by nine. This was to facilitate expansions into disinfectant and antiseptic markets. A further five sales people were also recruited for sales to upcountry drugstores.

1996 : Pharmadica Co. Ltd., a new company within the group, was established and took over the running of sales force C.

1998 : The sales force was reorganized into three divisions: Division A: Hospitals – Local Products, Division B: Hospitals – Overseas Products, and Division C: Drugstores – All products.

2002 : The sales force was expanded with the addition of Division D: Personal Care Products.

As can be seen, during the last decade the company has expanded substantially, going through major changes in the process. Today we have Pharmaland (1982) Co., Ltd. as the mother company, with four sales divisions, and two other companies, dealing with distribution. These are Pharmadica Co., Ltd. (with three sales divisions) and PML Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.(supplying drugstores).
